SCHOLARSHIPS
Our biannual Used Book Sale proceeds help fund financial awards for young women from local public high schools.
The College Women’s Club of Montclair (CWCM) is a 501c3 nonprofit composed of women with post-secondary education who believe strongly in the advancement of women through education and advocacy. We work to promote educational opportunities for women, provide financial aid to high school seniors pursuing higher education, and gather for social events.
FINANCIAL AWARDS
The College Women’s Club of Montclair (CWCM) awards scholarships of varying amounts to young women who are seniors at local public high schools. We generally award between $35,000 and $45,000 to approximately 20 students each year.
In 2025, we awarded $37,000 to students at five of the high schools that represent our membership: Montclair High School ($20,000), Cedar Grove High School ($2,000), Glen Ridge High School ($2,000), Verona High School ($4,000), and Bloomfield High School ($9,000).
Candidates submit their application through their school’s guidance counselor and are interviewed by the CWCM Financial Awards Committee.
We encourage high school senior girls from Montclair, Verona, Cedar Grove, and Bloomfield public high schools to speak with their guidance counselor to obtain an application.
